Josh Teel is the Technology Director for Harper County, Kansas, where he has spent the last five years leading the county's IT operations with a simple mission: make local government work as well as it possibly can for the people it serves. With more than a decade of experience in local government IT, Josh understands the unique pressures that smaller jurisdictions face: limited budgets, lean teams, and the expectation to deliver the same results as much larger organizations.
Before stepping into government technology, Josh built a foundation in service through his work with the American Red Cross, an experience that shaped his belief that technology is ultimately about people. He holds multiple CompTIA certifications and stays actively engaged in Kansas state IT and cybersecurity networks, advocating for rural communities that are too often left out of the conversation.
A Wichita State alum and Shocker fan, Josh lives in Harper, Kansas, with his wife and twin girls — proud to call rural Kansas home.
