The following CIS Benchmarks have been updated or recently released. We've highlighted the major updates below. Each Benchmark includes a full changelog that references all changes.

CIS IBM WebSphere Liberty Benchmark v1.0.0

We are pleased to announce that we have published the first release of the CIS IBM WebSphere Liberty Benchmark! A lot of time has gone into the development of v1.0.0 which contains recommendations that address many settings in this technology. Here are just a few of the areas that are covered:

  • User Registries
  • Application Deployment
  • Web Applications
  • Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) applications
  • Web Services
  • Messaging
  • MicroProfile Metrics
  • z/OS

Updated CIS Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (R2 and non-R2) Benchmarks

A lot of effort has gone into updating the content of the following Benchmarks:

  • CIS Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Benchmark v2.6.0
  • CIS Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (non-R2) Benchmark v2.4.0

The full changelog is included at the end of both the PDF and DOC versions for download. Here is a brief glimpse of what we did to improve the value of these Benchmarks:

  • Moved, added, and renamed several sections due to updated ADMX templates
  • Added six new settings each 
  • Updated two settings each 
  • Moved three settings each 
  • Renamed one setting in the 2012 R2 Benchmark
