Control Assist is a collaborative initiative developed by CyberAcuView and the Center for Internet Security (CIS) to simplify the cyber insurance process for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). By aligning the CIS Critical Security Controls Implementation Group 1 (IG1) with common cyber insurance underwriting questions, Control Assist creates a shared framework that helps SMBs demonstrate their cybersecurity readiness in clear, standardized terms. This alignment reduces confusion, accelerates insurance applications, and guides organizations toward high-impact security practices that defend against prevalent threats. Control Assist also empowers insurers and cybersecurity vendors to work from a common language, fostering greater trust, transparency, and resilience across the cyber insurance ecosystem.
