Times Union Names CIS a 2021 Top Workplace in New York Capital Region

For the seventh time, CIS is a Top Workplaces winner in the midsize company category.

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y., May 24, 2021 – The Center for Internet Security, Inc. (CIS®) has been named one of the “2021 Top Workplaces” in the New York Capital Region by the Albany Times Union. Only 62 companies made this year’s list, which has categories for small, medium, and large businesses. CIS received honors in the medium-sized businesses category.

CIS also received the Communication Award recognizing effective organization-wide communication ensuring that employees feel well informed about important decisions.

“Being named a top workplace is a great achievement for any organization. CIS is especially proud to achieve this recognition for a seventh time during a period of profound change due to the pandemic,” said John Gilligan, CIS President & CEO. “I see this achievement as a testament to our employees whose commitment to our mission and innovative ideas continue to make CIS a top workplace.”

The list of 2021 Top Workplaces is based solely on the results of a short, 24-statement employee feedback survey conducted by Energage, a Philadelphia-based employee survey company that partners with media nationwide on workplace recognition programs.

To be a Top Workplace, the Times Union website says an organization should “operate by strong values, have open communication between employees and management, and innovate and operate efficiently.”

The 2021 Top Workplaces list marks the 10th year of the program.
