Center for Internet Security Volunteers Support Animal Welfare in Q1 Campaign
CIS earned additional recognition for company values
EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y., May 13, 2025 — From New York to California, volunteers at the Center for Internet Security, Inc. (CIS®) have raised more than $800 in support of animals in the first quarter of 2025. The activities were led by CIS Cares, an employee-run volunteer initiative.
Fundraising Success:
CIS Cares volunteers turned friendly competition into charitable impact, through a Super Bowl square fundraiser that brought in $475. That was divided between Pasadena Humane, a California-based animal welfare nonprofit, and the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, a vital resource for animal services in Menands, New York. In addition, CIS Cares volunteers partnered with other nonprofits, including the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and other local shelters across the country.
Symbolic Adoptions:
More than 33 animals were symbolically adopted through Oceana, including whales, sea turtles, polar bears, sea otters, and penguins. For a $10 donation, employees could adopt a marine animal and learn fun facts and information about their adoptee. A total of $330 went to support ocean conservation.
Total Impact:
In total, CIS Cares volunteers raised $805, and dedicated countless hours in support of animals and marine conservation for Q1 2025. For Q2, CIS Cares will partner with Nature Conservancy, one of the most effective and wide-reaching environmental organizations in the world.
