New Features of CIS-CAT® Pro Assessor v4

CIS-CAT® Pro Assessor v4 is a system configuration and vulnerability assessment tool. It provides the ability to remotely or locally assess target systems. This new command line tool is written in Groovy, a Java-based language, features enhanced XML and JSON processing as well as a more secure and organized code base. CIS-CAT Pro Assessor v4 is designed primarily to assess CIS Benchmarks™. The tool coordinates with the CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard and supports the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) 1.2 data-stream collections, XCCDF 1.2-based content, and OVAL definition files.

Product Owner, CIS-CAT Pro, CIS
Maureen Kunac is currently part of the Security Best Practices team at CIS and is the Product Owner for CIS-CAT Pro. Maureen leverages community cybersecurity experiences to prioritize and design new CIS-CAT Pro features. She works with members to understand their business processes associated with system configuration and vulnerability assessments.
Prior to her role as CIS-CAT Product Owner, Maureen contributed product management skills for over 25 years to various software development projects in a wide range of industries including warehouse management, retail, food manufacturing, and healthcare. Maureen is a Certified Scrum Product Owner and holds a BA in Accounting from University at Albany – SUNY.
Technical Training and Account Manager, CIS
Ronan Tiu is currently part of the Member Success Team as the Technical Training and Account Manager. In his role, he provides technical demos of the CIS SecureSuite Resources including CIS-CAT Pro in support of the Sales and Member Success teams. In doing this he is helping to bring in new Members and assisting current Members in getting the most out of their CIS SecureSuite Membership. Ronan is continuously working with the teams to bring awareness to prospects and members of the technical aspects of the CIS SecureSuite resources. He is also engaged daily with his accounts covering a broad array of members from various industries.
Previously Ronan worked in Financial Technology as a technical sales representative for various Fin-tech firms selling Order Management and Trading Execution software. He has been with CIS since October 2017. He holds a BA in Philosophy from New York University and will be pursuing SANS certification in the Winter of 2018.
