Building Cyber Resilience with Civilian Cyber Corps
Thursday, October 29, 2026 I 2:00 p.m. ET
Several states operate successful cyber volunteer programs that assist local governments and critical infrastructure operators with cybersecurity education, technical assistance, and incident response. These vetted volunteers supplement resources such as fusion centers, state police, National Guard units, and IT departments, proving essential to whole-of-state cybersecurity preparedness and surge capacity.
Designed for state, local, tribal, and territorial government leaders, cybersecurity professionals, and organizations interested in developing or supporting civilian cyber corps programs, this session will feature leaders from established programs in Louisiana, Wisconsin, and Ohio. They will share their implementation models, challenges, lessons learned, and resources that other states and territories can use to build similar programs. Attendees will also learn how they can participate in ongoing peer collaboration, resource sharing, and the development of national best practices for civilian cyber corps programs.
