Amid “The Great Resignation,” Center for Internet Security Gets it Right
CIS Earns National Honor for Workplace Culture
EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y., Feb. 1, 2022 – Despite workers leaving their jobs in droves across the country since 2020, the Center for Internet Security, Inc. (CIS®) is leading the way in keeping employees engaged, fulfilled, and reporting high levels of job satisfaction. CIS has been recognized as one of the 2022 Top Workplaces USA for consistently showing a commitment to its staff, members, and community.
The Top Workplaces USA celebrates companies of various sizes that make the world a better place to work together, by prioritizing a people-centered culture, and giving employees a voice. The award is based solely on feedback from employee engagement surveys.
The “Great Resignation and Reshuffling” has demonstrated how important employee satisfaction is, something CIS identified many years prior to the pandemic.
As a nonprofit leader in the cybersecurity field, CIS is committed to keeping the connected world a safer place. In addition to competitive pay and a top-tier benefits package, CIS employees are given 40 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer in their local communities, as well as ongoing professional and personal development opportunities. After pivoting to fully remote operations in 2020, the staff stays connected through monthly team building activities online, including aromatherapy, charcuterie board making, bingo, Lego building, and more.
Health and wellness is also among the company priorities, and each employee is given a weekly wellness hour to utilize any way they choose. According to one CIS staffer quoted in the Top Workplaces USA survey, “Employees are taken care of, family life is understood and encouraged, and the mission is an important and interesting one.” Another employee reported, “Leadership values its employees by surveying them and asking for their advice and input regularly to ensure all staff are included.”
CIS is also growing rapidly, and there are several career opportunities available.
