How to Tailor CIS Benchmarks via CIS WorkBench
October 16, 2018 | 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM (EDT)
While October has a special focus on cybersecurity, CIS works year-round to provide new resources for you and your organization.
The latest update to CIS Workbench will provide users with new ways to tailor our consensus-based security recommendations. We will soon offer tailoring of CIS Benchmarks via the CIS WorkBench platform. These guidelines help secure operating systems, servers, and mobile devices. Within each CIS Benchmark, there are hundreds of recommended security settings that help you configure a specific technology. Join us on October 16 to learn more about how you can customize the CIS Benchmarks for your organization’s needs.
What you'll learn about tailoring CIS Benchmarks:
- How to customize CIS Benchmarks to meet organizational requirements and create the ideal "golden image"
- Ways to automatically track differences between default CIS Benchmark recommendations and customized enterprise policies
- How to streamline updates with the per-recommendation option to "accept" or "reject" new policy
