2019 National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

Thomas Duffy

Senior Vice President, Operations and Services, MS-ISAC

Tom-DuffyThomas Duffy is Senior Vice President of Operations and Services at CIS. He is responsible for managing all aspects of the CIS Security Operations activities, which are the focal point for cyber threat prevention, protection, response, and recovery for the nation’s state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) governments.

Mr. Duffy also provides leadership in developing program, organizational, and financial strategies. He also manages the operation of the CIS 24-hour cybersecurity watch and warning operations center, which provides real-time network monitoring, early cyber threat warnings and advisories, vulnerability identification and mitigation, and incident response. He works closely with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), including its National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC), as well as with SLTT officials across the country.

Prior to joining CIS, Mr. Duffy served as Deputy Director of the New York State Office of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Coordination (CSCIC). In this role, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Office, which included coordinating the State’s cybersecurity strategies and policy development, monitoring the State’s networks, researching threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits, and issuing cyber alert advisories to the governmental and private sector entities in New York.


Nancy J. Limauro

Cybersecurity Awareness Lead, Stakeholder Engagement Division, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)


Nancy J. Limauro is the Cybersecurity Awareness Lead for the Stakeholder Engagement Division (SED) in the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). She is part of the team in SED that oversees several nationally-focused programs and resources designed to promote and advance cybersecurity awareness, education, training, and workforce development throughout both the public and private sectors.

Previously she held several positions in stakeholder engagement in both the Cybersecurity Division and the Infrastructure Security Division, including serving as the Acting Director of International Affairs in the former National Cyber Security Division.

Prior to joining the federal government, Ms. Limauro was with SRA International, now General Dynamics Information Technology. While at SRA, she helped establish the Infrastructure Protection and Resiliency Division and held numerous project management positions while supporting DHS.

Ms. Limauro holds a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Eisenhower School at National Defense University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government with a concentration in Political Theory from Georgetown University. She also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Jennifer Cook

Director of Programs and Special Events, NCSA

Jen-Cook Jennifer Cook is the Director of Programs and Special Events at the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA). Jennifer leads the development and coordination of NCSA's growing suite of events and key programs including National Cyber Security Awareness Month, Data Privacy Day, STOP. THINK. CONNECT.™ and the NCSA and Nasdaq Cybersecurity Summits. She joined the National Cyber Security Alliance in 2017 as the Program and Events Coordinator and holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Drexel University.
