Human Resources Intern


Job Summary

The Human Resources Intern is assigned to the Administrative Division at the Center for Internet Security. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Intern will partner with other cybersecurity team members to promote the CIS mission and help support our growth. The primary purpose of this position is to gain experience and exposure while providing administrative and operational assistance to the Human Resources Department in support of planned initiatives.


Duties and Responsibilities


Create, format, and edit correspondence and presentations
Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding transactions
Ad hoc reporting
Invoice reconciliation and tracking
Assist with the administration of all employee programs
Assist with tracking, organizing, and analyzing various Human Resources activities
Filing and scanning of various confidential documents
Providing research on relevant HR topics and areas
Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications


Applicable HR coursework or related work experience
Strong administrative skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to handle confidential employee information
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Demonstrated time management skills
Strong attention to detail



Preferred Qualifications


Associates Degree at an accredited college in a related field
Experience in a Mac environment
