President, Information Technology, National Grand Bank
Bruce Moulton brings to the CIS Board more than 30 years of diverse experience in IT management, information security, business continuity and IT audit. With significant expertise in financial services, his industry experience also spans high-tech manufacturing, healthcare/medical/pharmaceutical, retail and technology start-up organizations.
As Vice President of IT for the National Grand Bank, Mr. Moulton directs the bank's focus on IT infrastructure, networks, business applications, information risk and information security. Prior to his current role at the bank, he was a recognized leader in the information security profession specializing in the financial services sector. He was a co-founder and the first elected chairman of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS/ISAC). Moulton served in senior leadership roles for the International Information Integrity Institute (I-4); BITS; the technology task force of the Investment Company Institute (ICI); and for the Securities Industry Root Certificate Authority (SIRCA). He currently sits on the board of directors of The Center for Internet Security (CIS).
Mr. Moulton held the position of Vice President, Information Security Business Strategy at Symantec Corporation, and prior to that was Vice President and chief information security officer (CISO) for Fidelity Investments where he had additional responsibilities for the enterprise business contingency planning program and for worldwide technology supporting physical security functions. While at Fidelity Investments, Moulton also served as vice president of IT Audit where he built and managed Fidelity Investments' world-class IT audit group.
Prior to Fidelity Investments, Moulton was a technology consultant with such organizations as DMR Group, Price Waterhouse and PRTM where he focused on system design and IT architecture methodologies as well as significant systems design projects. He also managed an application development and support group for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) and has held various financial management positions with such companies as Pfizer, Avery International and Propane Industrial Service.
Moulton earned a masters degree in business administration from Cornell's Johnson Graduate School of Management with concentrations in finance and accounting as well as hospital and health services administration. He is an honors graduate of Cornell University's College of Arts and Sciences with a major in chemistry.
