About the Job

The Vice President of Sales is a key leadership role on the Sales and Business Services team at the Center for Internet Security.  Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Services, the Vice President of Sales will partner with other CIS team members (to include MS-ISAC) to promote the CIS mission and help support our growth.  The primary purpose of this position is to lead all aspects of CIS sales to meet company objectives.  This includes the development, implementation of a comprehensive internal and external sales strategies that would increase revenues, profits and deepen our impact across public and private sector entities.

Here’s a Snapshot of your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Produce strategic sales plans for both new product/program development and existing product/program growth
  • Direct implementation and execution of sales policies and practices
  • Aggressively build a sales pipeline and develop, manage and close opportunities
  • Develop strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with marketing, BD, and PR to develop and execute sales plan
  • Assist in identifying strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses
  • Establish meaningful client relationships at a range of levels within target organizations
  • Ensure execution against the target and goals
  • Build, develop and manage sales teams capable of carrying out sales and service initiatives
  • Help develop and manage sales budgets
  • Demonstrate knowledge and support mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and the code of ethical behavior
  • Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for in you?

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing or related field
  • 8 years sales experience including building and developing customer relationships
  • 5 years in a management role with multiple direct reports
  • Proven record of developing and implementing sales strategies
  • Demonstrated experience operating as part of a leadership team that emphasizes collaborative decision making and a high degree of coordination amongst functions
  • Prior experience with developing and maintaining departmental functions
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • MBA preferred
