Inside Sales Representative

The primary purpose of this position is to increase our paid memberships by identifying and qualifying prospects and building relationships to acquire new customers. This position will provide exceptional service to all prospective customers; ensuring ongoing satisfaction and retention and representing CIS in a professional and courteous manner.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Prospect for and qualify leads
  • Cultivate qualified leads and manage sales process through close of opportunity (quote, invoice, agreement)
  • Meeting or exceeding quota each month
  • Input and manage all sales opportunities through CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Present updates to sales forecast, pipeline, product overviews and roadmaps
  • Monitor competitors, market conditions, and product development
  • Prepare proposals and prepare/present sales contracts, negotiate where necessary with guidance of Supervisor
  • Deliver professional sales presentations
  • Represent CIS in a general capacity as necessary
  • Ensure reporting and communication is frequent and bi-directional
  • Travel to events, conferences and off-site meetings as needed
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications and Competencies

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent sales experience with track record of success
  • 3+ years of Inside Direct Sales experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed a revenue quota on a quarterly or annual basis
  • Proven success in building and maintaining successful relationships with prospective and existing customers and channel partners
  • Familiar with and fluent using Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to communicate advanced technical concepts
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Technical selling experience for IT software or hardware
  • Strong marketing, business development and negotiating skills
