The Center for Internet Security's Trademarks and Logos The Center for Internet Security (CIS) has several Trademarks, each of which is described below. Registration for the following Trademarks will be applied for with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Usage of the CIS Trademarks is governed by CIS's Trademark, Logos, and Corporate Name Usage Guidelines. Click Here to read the Guidlines. Organizations that are entitled to the use of any of the Trademarks and Logos may obtain downloadable copies in different sizes and formats by contacting Steve Kreitner, CIS In-House Counsel and Director of Administrative Services, at skreitner@cisecurity.org. CIS Membership Mark -- The CIS Membership Mark means that an organization is a CIS member in good standing and is entitled to CIS membership benefits. CIS Software Certification Mark -- The CIS Software Certification Mark signifies that a security software product has been: (1) tested to accurately measure and report the conformity of computer configurations with the technical settings and actions defined in the CIS Security Benchmark and (2) awarded Certification by CIS. CIS Configuration Certification Mark -- The CIS Configuration Certification Mark signifies that a computer operating system or platform is sold pre-configured with the technical security control recommendations of a particular CIS Security Benchmark. CIS Corporate Name and Trademark -- The CIS Corporate Name and Trademark may be used only with express written permission from CIS and signifies a formal relationship between the organization and CIS. |
